The quality control of food contact materials is an important guarantee for food safety. This paper analyzed the characteristics of the EU standards, regulations and management system on food contact ma-terials, and compared them with current status of China domestic management system on food contact materials. Some suggestions on how to draw lessons from the EU and reinforce China domestic management system of food contact materials were also given.
