Objective To verify the genetically modified (GM) plant detection methods for soybean, maize, rice and their products, and applied to actual sample testing. Methods The genetically modified ingredients of the no GM labeling products was detected according to GB 19495.4-2018 Detection of genetically modified organisms and derived products-Qualitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method. Results This method validation was satisfactory. One batch of GM component was detected in 40 batches of soybean, corn, rice and their products, and the detection rate was 2.5%. Conclusion The vast majority of soybeans, corn, rice and their products in the market those are not labeled with GM ingredients do not show GM ingredients. Only a few of them contain genetically modified ingredients, but they are not effectively labeled.
