Objective To optimize the process conditions for adsorption of attapulgite of patulin in penicillium pear juice. Methods The effects of the amount of adsorbent, adsorption time and adsorption temperature on the adsorption efficiency of patulin in juice were screened based on the individual factor experiment.With the adsorbent amount, adsorption time and adsorption temperature as independent variables, and the adsorption rate of attapulgite for patulin was designed as response value for Box-Behnken experimental design. Results The optimum adsorption conditions were the amount of attapulgite of 0.0800 g, the adsorption time of 22 h, and the adsorption temperature of 40 ℃. Under the selected condition, the optimum adsorption rate for patulin was 99.51%. Conclusion Attapulgite has a good adsorption effect for patulin in pear juice under the selected condition.
