Objective To evaluate the uncertainty of determination of patulin in juice by ultra performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS). Methods According to CNAS-GL06 Guidance on evaluation the uncertainty in chemical analysis and JJF 1059-2012 Evaluation expression of uncertainty in measurement, a mathematical model was established to evaluate the sources of uncertainty. Results By quantifying and synthesizing the uncertainty component, it was concluded that when the content of penicillin in the juice was 44.77 μg/kg, its expansion uncertainty was 5.81 μg/kg (k=2). Conclusion The major sources of uncertainty are preparation of standard solutions and the standard curve fitting.
