Abstract：The novel energy system is the key to ensure the energy sustainable development, containing of systematicness, innovation and sustainability. The integration between conventional centralized energy system and distributed energy system which is a typical novel system will be the promising direction in the future. This article illustrates the current situation and trend of distributed energy system in U．S., Japan, Europe and China, and also analyses that gas-fired hybrid distributed energy system is the important development direction of the novel energy systems. It also proposes that the development of novel energy system represented by distributed energy and renewable energy is national strategic demand for improving the sustainable development of China's energy system and seizing the commanding heights of energy technology revolution.
