Abstract:Base on a simple power grid and a real power grid in northwest of China, this paper analyzes the influence of wind power and photovoltaic access on the short-circuit current of the access point. The calculation results show that, the attenuation rate of the short circuit current of wind generator is high than that of synchronous generator, in which the short circuit current of asynchronous induction generator is larger and can be attenuated by nearly 50% at 50 ms. The short current of doubly fed induction generator is larger than that of the asynchronous generator at the instant of short circuit, but the attenuation rate is very fast, and it can be attenuated nearly 97% at 50 ms. The direct drive permanent magnet synchronous generator has the smallest short-circuit current and the fastest attenuation rate, and does not provide short circuit current at 50 ms. Due to the overload capacity of inverters and other power electronic devices in photovoltaic power plants, the short circuit current supplied by photovoltaic power plants is very small, and the short-circuit current of photovoltaic power plants can be ignored when they are connected to the high voltage transmission grid by multi-stage boost.
