Abstract:Concentrated solar power technology is an important way to alleviate the energy crisis and improve the ecological environment. It can solve the contradiction between the discontinuous supply of solar energy and the continuous consumption of electric energy with a heat storage system. CaO-CO2 thermochemical heat storage technology has the advantages of wide sources, low cost and high heat storage density, and has a broad application prospect. Based on the review and summary of CaO-CO2 solar heat storage system, this paper introduced its thermal storage principle and integration scheme with concentrated solar power plant, analyzed the influencing factors of calcium-based material heat storage, and expounded the methods to improve the cyclic thermal storage performance and mechanical properties of calcium-based materials. This paper provides some beneficial reference and guidance for the design and preparation of high-performance calcium-based heat storage materials and their large-scale application and development in solar power plants.
