Abstract:Power line condition monitoring system is an important part of smart grid. In order to efficiently transmit the structured data of a power line condition monitoring system, this paper uses Google Protocol Buffers to replace the inefficient data transmission method, based on Web Service, of the current power line monitoring system. A new data transmission scheme based on Protocol Buffers is designed for the power line condition monitoring system in this research, and its performance is compared with that of current Web Service scheme in terms of time and space. The experiments shows that the proposed scheme is more efficient and takes less storage space.
