摘要:[目的]文章面向节能降碳探讨光通信系统的全生命周期能效,建立了不限于具体技术或结构,涵盖系统生命周期各阶段的能效描述通用模型,并分析了光通信系统能效提升的关键影响因素.[方法]从有用功效和能耗两个方面分别进行探讨,以建立光通信系统能效的通用模型.在有用功效的表述中,除通常使用的速率要素外,引入距离要素作为主要影响因素之一,并建议将特定场景应用中数据传输满足质量要求及网络保持连接状态产生的价值纳入有用功效,将这种描述方式命名为综合有用功效.在能耗的探讨中,将系统生命周期分解为生产制造、安装建设、运行维护和废弃回收4个阶段分别分析.基于所建立的通用模型对能效提升的主要影响因素进行探讨.[结果]研究形成以下观点:(1)距离要素可作为评价系统有用功效的主要因素之一,同时也是影响系统生命周期各阶段能耗的因素;(2)面向新场景和新应用,在系统有用功效中为数据传输满足特定质量要求设定权值并为保持连接状态赋值,可体现系统为满足场景应用需求所付出的能耗代价带来的价值;(3)系统全生命周期能耗需要考虑生命周期各阶段的能耗因素,并可将各阶段能耗以系统运行寿命折算到单位时间上进行累加;(4)合理的网络拓扑和路由设计、降低线路损耗与光传输技术和设备设施节能技术的演进同样都是降低系统全生命周期能耗、提升能效的重要手段.[结论]能效描述通用模型在系统有用功效和能耗的表述中均把距离要素作为重要影响因素,将光通信系统在通信距离上的价值体现和因距离带来的生命周期各阶段能耗对应起来,同时也建议将数据传输满足特定质量要求及网络保持连接状态产生的价值纳入有用功效的考量.该模型可更全面地对光通信系统的能效进行评价以促进系统能效提升,并且能够适应和推动光通信系统在新场景中的应用.
Abstract:[Objective]Thispaperdiscussesfulllifecycleenergyefficiencyofopticalcommunicationsystemsinthepurposeofen-ergyconservationandcarbonreduction.Itaimstoestablishauniversalmodelfordescriptionofenergyefficiency,whichcoversallstagesofsystemlifecycle,anditisnotlimitedtospecifictechnologiesornetworkstructures.Italsoanalyzesthekeyinflu-encingfactorsforimprovementofenergyefficiencyofopticalcommunicationsystems.[Methods]Thispaperexplorestheuse-fulworkandenergyconsumptionofopticalcommunicationsystems,toestablishauniversalmodelforenergyefficiency.Intheexpressionofusefulwork,inadditiontothecommonlyusedfactordatarate,distancefactorisintroducedasanimportantfac-tor.Thepaperrecommendsthatthevaluegeneratedbydatatransmissionswhichmeetspecificqualityrequirementsandmain-tainingnetworkconnectivityinspecificscenarioapplicationsshouldbeconsideredinthedescriptionoftheusefulefficacy.Thedescriptionmethodisnamedascomprehensiveusefulefficacy.Inthediscussionofenergyconsumption,thesystemlifecycleisdecomposedintofourstages:manufacturing,installationandconstruction,operationandmaintenance,andwasterecycling.Maininfluencingfactorsofenergyefficiencyimprovementarediscussedbasedontheestablishedmodel.[Results]Mainresultsoftheresearchinclude:(1)Distancefactorcanbeoneofthemainfactorsforevaluatingtheusefulworkofasystem,anddis-tancefactorsaffectenergyconsumptionatvariousstagesofthesystem'slifecycle;(2)Fornewscenariosandapplications,set-tingweightsfordatatransmissionswhichmeetspecificqualityrequirementsandassigningvaluesformaintainingconnectivitiesstatusindescriptionofthesystemusefulworkcouldreflectthevaluebroughtbytheenergycostofthesystemtomeettheneedsofscenarioapplications;(3)Energyconsumptionfactorsofeachstageofthelifecycleshouldbeconsideredinevaluationofenergyconsumptionofthefulllifecycle,andtheenergyconsumptionofeachstageshouldbeconvertedintounittimebasedonthesystemoperatinglifeforaccumulation;(4)Optimizednetworktopologyandroutingdesign,reductionoflinelosses,aswellasevolutionofopticaltransmissiontechnologyandequipment/facilityenergysavingtechnologies,areimportantmeanstoreduceenergyconsumptionsthroughouttheentirelifecycleofthesystemandimprovetheenergyefficiency.[Conclusion]Thispaperdiscussesthecomprehensiveusefulworkandfulllifecycleenergyconsumptionofopticalcommunicationsystems,andestablishesauniversalmodeltodescribethefulllifecycleenergyefficiencyofthesystem.Thismodeltakesdistanceasanim-portantinfluencingfactorintheexpressionoftheusefulefficiencyandalsoenergyconsumptionofthesystem,whichcorre-spondsthevalueoftheopticalcommunicationsystembasedoncommunicationdistancewiththeenergyconsumptioninthelife-cyclecausedbydistances.Italsosuggestsconsideringthevaluegeneratedbydatatransmissionswhichmeetspecificqualityrequirementsandmaintainingnetworkconnectivityintheevaluationoftheusefulefficiency.Thismodelcouldcomprehensivelyevaluatetheenergyefficiencyofopticalcommunicationsystems,forimprovementsofsystemenergyefficiency,andcouldadaptandpromoteapplicationsofopticalcommunicationsystemsinnewscenarios.
