Urbangreenspace(UGS),whichplaysanimportantroleinreducingtheproblemsassociatedwithurbanization,needstobeevaluatedbymetrics.Three-dimensiongreenquantity(3DGQ),aquantitativeindexthatmeasuresthecrownspaceoccupiedbyagrowingplant,isoftenusedtoevaluatetheextent,andtheenvironmentalandclimaticbenefitsofUGS.Theobjectiveofthisstudywastomeasurethe3DGQofPaotaiwanWetlandPark(PWP)inShanghai,China.Implementationofthe3DGQindexwassupportedbyremotesensing(RS)imagestakenbyanunmannedaerialvehicle(UAV).The3DGQcalculationsfor100speciesoftreeswereusedtocalculatethe3DGQoftheUGSinPWP.TheenvironmentalandclimaticbenefitsofUGSinPWPwerealsoevaluated.The3DGQforthewholePWPwas668624.13m3.ThemixedwoodsinthePWPannuallyabsorbed1635.57tCO2,2.03kgSO2,735.48tdust,and2254.49tO2.Therewas367.74tofdiurnaltranspiration.TheloweredtemperatureofthePWPinthetranspirationscopeat100maltitudewas1.8℃.TheuseofaUAVtoassessUGScouldhelpplannersandpolicymakerstoimprovetheenvironmentalandclimaticbenefitsofUGS.
