NMERICALINVESTIGATIONONFLOWFIELDNEARTHEEXHAUSTOPENINGINDOOR.pdf
Airflowfieldandeffectiveregionforpollutiondischargewaspredictedaroundacircularflangedexhaustopeninginacubicroomwithoutwindow,threedifferentturbulentmodelswereemployedtosimulateairflowfieldneartheexhaustinletindoor,SIMPLEalgorithm,standardwallfunctionandpressureconditionwaschosen,andexperimentdatafromFurioCascettaatReynoldsnumber6.812×104wasselectedtoverifysimulationresults.Mainfocuswasonprofileofvelocitymagnitudeatairspeed,2m/sand0.3m/s,inaconditionaveragecross-sectionvelocityoftheexhaustopeninganddiameteroftheopeningbeing5.96m/s,0.173m,respectively.Numericalresultsshowthatairvelocitydecreasesgraduallyinradialdirectionandaxisdirectionawayfromorigin,andchangesmostdramaticallyatcorneroftheopening.Projectionofvelocitycontoursurfacesresemblesasemiellipsewithmajoraxisinradialdirectiononverticalandsymmetricalplaneatahigherairvelocity,ithoweverapproachesahemisphereofgreaterradiusgraduallywhenairvelocitydecreases;at2m/s,majoraxisoftheprojectionsemiellipsewas0.70timesthediameteroftheexhaustopening,whiletheminoraxisseemstobe0.45timesthediameterandat0.3m/s,themajoraxisoftheprojectionsemiellipsebecomes1.60timesthediameter,whileminoraxisturninginto1.55timesinverticalandsymmetricalplane;Theeffectiveregionforpollutiondischargeissimilartocontoursurfaceofvelocitymagnitude,likeasemiellipsoid,at0.3m/sairvelocity.
