Thisstudyfocusedontheacousticmodelingofthesound-absorbingmaterialonthenoisereductioninsidearectangularboxcavity.Theboxismadeoffiverigidwallsandbackedbyaflexiblealuminumplate.Thesound-absorbingmaterialisattachedtotheplateandthecavity.Tovalidatethemeasurementresults,numericalapproachesbasedontheFiniteElement(FE)modelisused.TheresultsshowthatthereisgoodagreementbetweentheexperimentandsimulationforSoundPressureLevelatdifferentmicrophonelocationsinsidetheboxcavity.Furthermore,thecavityinteriornoiseissignificantlyreducedbytheattachingofsound-absorbingmaterial.
