Intheactualprojectdevelopmentprocess,inordertosavecosts,flashsimulationEEPROMiswidelyusedtomeetthedemandfordatastorageofapplications.Inordertoensurethereliabilityofthemaincontroller,weprefertochoosethepowerchip(SBC)whichintegratesthewatchdogfunction,thenthemaincontrollerismonitoredinrealtimebythepowerchip.Thispaperdescribedtheproblemofcontrollercrashwhichencounteredintheprojectdevelopment,andanalyzedtherootcause:themaincontrollerfailedtofeedthewatchdogbecausetheflasheraseoperationdisabledtheinterrupts,thenthepowerchipresetthemaincontrollerandfinallylettheflashcorrupted.Accordingtotherootcause,asolutionwasproposedanditseffectivenesswasverified.
