ABclasseconomicalcarequippedwithfrontMacphersonandreartwistbeamisinvestigated,theaimisdevelopingatwistbeamtoachievethedesignrequirementsofrollanglegradient,understeergradientwhencornering,whileensuringitsstructuralintegrityisachievedwithareductioninitsmass.Inordertoperformtheoptimizationprocess,thetargetsatavehiclelevelbasedonthebenchmarkedvehiclearedefined,andthenthetargetsarecascadedtothesystemandpartslevels,byredesigningthecrossbeamsectionalproperties,thestructureoptimizationiscarriedoutwithoutchangingtwistbeamaxlehardpointlocations.
