Inthispaper,CSRandHCSRareappliedforthedesignoftwotypesAFRAMAXOilTankeroftheshipyard,theeffectoftwoRulesontheshipdesigniscompared.Intherulecalculationstage,differentminimumplatethicknessesforspecificareasareconsideredandlocalstrengthischeckedforCSRandHCSRdesign,respectively.ThecomparisonofbucklingandfatiguecalculationresultsbetweenCSRandHCSRdesignisalsocarriedoutinthispaper.Then,FEanalysisiscarriedoutbasedontherequirementofHCSR.Coarsemeshanalysisisproceededforeachcargohold,thatis,cargohold1to6.ScreeningareasforfinemeshanalysisarechosenandmanholeareaisaddedintheanalysisaccordingtotherequirementofHSCR.FinalefatigueFEanalysisofbrackettoeisalsoconsideredintheHSCRdesignand,accordingtotherulecalculationandFEanalysisresults,optimizationoftheshapeofbrackettoeisdiscussedforthepurposeofsatisfyingthefatiguestrengthrequriement.
