Structuremonitoringtechnologyisgraduallyappliedinthefieldofhydraulicstructure;however,thetraditionalelectricalsensortechnologyhassomelimitationsinthefieldofhydraulicstructuremonitoringsystem,especiallyforlong-termandreal-timestructuremonitoring.Inordertoachievelong-termandreal-timemonitoringofhydraulicstructures,FiberBraggGrating(FBG)sensortechnologyisadoptedinengineeringpracticeinthispaper,andfirstusedinahigh-pilewharfstructuremonitoringsystemofasupportedproject,theresultsofloadingtestandfiniteanalysisverifiedthatFBGsensorshavegreatadvantagesinhydraulicstructuremonitoring.
