Applicationstatusoflifecycleassessment(LCA)methodinChineseautomotiveindustriesisreviewed.AquestionnairethatincludessomekeyissuesonLCAapplicationinChinawassenttosomeOEMs,suppliersandassociations.Thefeedbackdatawasanalyzedanddiscussedindetail.Theresultsshowedthatabout60percentChineseautomotiveindustrieshaveusedtheLCAtoolsinsomeoralloftheirproductsmanufacturingchain.ThefirstthreereasonsthathindertheapplicationofLCAinChineseautomotiveindustriesaretechniqueproblems,lackofgovernmentsupportandworryingaboutthecostthatmaybeenhancedduetotheLCAusage.Ecoinvent,Gabiandinternaldatabaseshareabout90percentofLCAdatabaserequirement.Aprecise,low-priceandeasyusedatabasethatconsidersChinesetrueresourcesandindustrialtechnologyisinurgentneedforpopularizingLCAinChina.
