ThisdissertationaimingonprematuredamageinsteelorthotropicplatebridgedecksurfacingandconcretebeamthinbridgedecksurfacinginChina,proposetheCFRPreinforcedthinbridgedecksurfacingsystem(CFRPreinforcementcourse+Epoxyresinmortarintermediatecourse+SMAWearingcourse).Thoughexperimentalstudyonheatresistancetest,thermalcompatibilitytestandstaticloadingtest,itisverifiedthattheCFRPreinforcedthinbridgedecksurfacingsystemisscientificandeffectiveforconcretebridgedeckthinsurfacing.Basingonthestudy,theformulaoftheEpoxyResinMortarwasmodifiedandoptimized,andthentheresolutionwasacquiredforsettlingthedebondingproblemsbetweenEpoxyResinMortarandconcretesubstratewhichmaybeinducedbylowthermalcompatibilityorpost-curereactionwhenpavingSMA.Moreover,resultsofresearchstudyonCFRPreinforcedthinbridgedecksurfacingsystemdirectlyguidedtheexecutionofBangladeshBangabandhuBridgeRepairingWorks,avoidedvarioustechnicalrisks,andhadbroughtinbotheconomicandsocialbenefits.
