Asthemostimportantmeasuretorealizethegoalofenergy-efficiencyandconsumption-reduction,light-weighttechnologyalwaysencounterssomanydifficultiestofindabalancebetweencostandperformanceandmass.However,traditionalinvestigationinthisregardalwaysfocusoncarbodyorchassisorevenarmature,whicharealwaysmadeofmetal.Quitefewattentiononlamp,nottomentiontheinvestigationonthelight-weighttechnologyinthisregard.Thispaperfocusonfouraspectssuchasstructuresimplification,materialoptimization,newtechnologyapplicationonmanufacturingprocess,andputforwardanewandconcreteconcepttoreachthisobjectivebyoptimizationondimension,shape,stylingandinjectionprocessandapplicationofnewtechnologyonlamp.Bysimulationandtestingwiththenewconceptionofheadlampwithlight-weighttechnology,itshowsthatcriticalperformancesuchaspedestrianperformance(indicatedbyHIC)canmeettherequirementofECEregulationandanothertwogoals,massandcost,accordingtothecalculation,canbedecreasedby20#and15#respectively.Thatmeans,theconceptoflight-weightstrategystatedinthepaperisawinwinstrategytomeettherequirementofmassandcriticalperformanceandcost.Additionally,basedontheexistingresearchandcurrentexperiences,thepaperalsoputforwardthecomprehensivestrategyoflight-weighttechnologyonlamp,whichwillbehelpfultofindabalancebetweenmass,costandperformanceduringtheconceptionofheadlampinthefuture.Alltheseeffortwillindicateabrilliantdirectionforthecurrentunclearmarketsituationonlight-weightinvestigationonlamp.
