Inre-entry,thedrillingriserissettoconnectwiththeseabedwellhead.Owingtothesurfacewave,theMotherVessel(MV)andthedrillingriserwilloscillateintheocean,whichcancausethedifficultyoftheconnectionbetweentheriserlowerendandtheseabedwellhead.TopredicttheriserresponsetothehorizontalMVoscillation,theFlexibleSegmentModel(FSM)baseddynamiccalculationmethodisemployedtomakethenumericalcalculation.FortheresponseoflongdrillingriserstotheMVoscillationatdifferentperiodsandamplitudes,thereare2featureseasytobeneglected:themaximumresponseamplitudeofriserlowerendsandminimumoscillationlocationontherisers.Here,a1500mdrillingriseristakenasatypicallongdrillingriser.ItsdynamicresponsetothehorizontalMVoscillationisanalyzed,themaximumresponseamplitudeofriserlowerendasthevariationofMVoscillatingperiodandamplitudeisshown,andtheMinimumOscillationPoint(MOP)ontheriserislocated.
