PersonalRapidTransit(PRT)isanewkindofmobilitymethodaimingforsustainableandenvironmentalfriendlycitydevelopment.Thisautomatedon-demandpublictransportationsystemcouldbeapromisingsolutionforfirst-mileandlast-mileproblemofexistingpublictransitnetwork.PRTprovidespassengersend-to-endserviceviasmallautonomouselectriccarsoperatedonadedicatednetworkofguideway.Vehicleroutingpatternreferstothedirectionofeachlinkinthenetwork,whichisanimportantpartofPRTsystemcontrol.Forcertaintrafficdemandandnetworkconfiguration,trafficvolumeofeachlinkissubjectedtotheroutingpattern.Sincemergenodeandexitofstationaretwoinherentbottlenecksinthenetwork,vehiclesmayqueueatthispointwhentrafficvolumebeyondcertainvalue.Thus,it'snecessarytodesignanoptimizedvehicleroutingpatternforbettersystemcontrol.Inthispaper,weconsiderboththevehicletraveltimeanddelayatmergenodeandstationastheoptimizationobjective,introducingagenericalgorithmtogetthesolution.Theresultshowsthatproposedmethodiseffectivetofindanoptimizedvehicleroutingpatterngivencertaintraveldemandandnetworkconfiguration.
