Wediscussamildhybridpowertrainbasedonasolutionplacingasmallelectricmotorbehindthefirstreductiondrive.Theelectricmotormaybeusedforpowersupplementation,andiscontrolledinbothpowerandregeneration.Howevertheprimaryuseofthemotorisfortorque-holefill-ininanAMT-equippedpowertrain.Themotoriscontrolledtoreduceclutchslip,andprovidetorquefill-induringgearchanges.Thispaperwilldescribethereal-timecontrolandthevalidationofMars0913BLDCmotor.Thisvalidationprocessinvolvesspecificimplementationtechniquesformodelprocessingandinterfacesinreal-timewithelectricalhardwarefunctionality.Thetoolsandinterfacesnecessarytothatvalidationarealsopresented,andincludeKHB12601BLDCKellyController,dSPACEMicroAutoBoxII,forhybridvehicleapplications.Thiswillincludeadesignprocessesforhandlingreal-timecontrolusingSimulink,DSPACERTI&ControlDeskenvironmentandfinally,thevalidationbasedonDynamometertestingtogetallperformancedataofBLDCmotorandmechanicalpartsasdesignedbyus.ThispaperisbasedonthetechniqueofRapidControllerPrototyping(RCP).Itisanefficientmethodforsolvingmotorcontrolproblemssuchasours.Duringthisdesign,weconnecttheuniversalcontroller(MicroAutoBox)totheKHBController.AllinterfacesignalsareconfiguredandthenthetwocontrollersareconnectedbyRelaysandCANlineaccordingtothespecificationsoftherealsystem.
