Aclosed-loopcontrolsystemforignitionenergyofnaturalgasengineisdesignedinthispaper.Theprimarycurrentismonitoredbythecurrentmonitoringmoduleinthissystem,inordertogettheactualdwelltimewhentheprimarycurrentincreasesfromzerotothethresholdcurrent,asthemonitoringsignalsofprimarycurrent.Duringthedwelltimeperiod,theobtainedmonitoringsignalsofprimarycurrentareutilizedasthefeedbacktotheenhancedtimeprocessorunitofMCUtodeterminewhethertheignitionenergyissetwithintherangeofsettingvalue.Thedifferencesbetweentheprimarycurrentandtheactualdwellcurrentarecalculatedthroughthecon-trolalgorithm,andtheobtaineddifferencesareutilizedastheinputofthecompensationdwelltimealgorithmtocalculatethecompensa-tiondwelltime.Thenthedwelltimeofthenextignitioneventisadjustedtorealizetheclosed-loopcontrolforignitionenergy.Thepro-posedclosed-loopcontrolmethodcanrealizetherealtimemonitoringandadaptiveadjustmentofignitionenergy.Experimentalresultsshowthattheclosed-loopcontrolsystemcanimprovetheconsistencyofignitionenergyforvariousdrivingchannelsandcontrolaccuracyofigni-tionenergyforeachdrivingchannel.Thattheincreasingrateofsparkpluggapslowsconsiderablyslowsdowntheagingofsparkplug.
