Inthispaper,anovelrobustdetectionwithlow-heightobjectsapproachusingsparselasersisproposed.ThedetectionmethodisconsistingofRANSACandclustertoprocess3Dpointclouds.InRANSAC,itcanabstractgroundsurfaceandremoveitindifferentdrivingpostures.Andincluster,itcandividepointsintodifferentgroupswhichrepresentsobjectsbasedonRANSACresult.Finally,thereisanFormulaAutonomousRacecardesignedbyauthortomakeexperimentandithadtookpartinFormulaStudentChina2017.Theexperimenttodetectconeswithracecarshowsdetectionperformancecomparingwithdifferentconditionsandapproach.
