Toimprovevehicledynamicperformanceandvibrationenergyrecoveryability,akindofregenerativesemi-activesuspensionwithelectro-hydrostaticactuator(EHA)wasputforward.Basedonthestructureanalysesofthesemi-activesuspension,theEHAmathematicalmodelwithhydraulicsystemandEnergyrecoveryunitwasestablished.TheEHAprototypewasdesignedanditstestsystemwasdeveloped.Thedampingandregenerativecharacteristicsofthesemi-activesuspensionwithEHAwerestudiedbythebenchtestsandsimulationanalyses.Theresultsshowthattheincreasingofthemotorexternalresistancewillmakethethedampingforcedrop.However,increasingtheexternalresistancecanimprovetheenergyrecoveryefficiencyofthesuspension.Theexperimentalresultsareconsistentwiththeresultsofthesimulation,whichshowsthattheEHAmodelestablishediscorrect.
