Theapplicationofrestraintsystemmodularcomponentscanshortentheprojectdevelopmentcycleandreducethecostofprojectdevelopment.Withthemodularityoftheseat,seatbelt,DABandothercomponentsoftheapplication,PAB(passengerair-bag)modularisimperative.ThekeytoachievePABmodularistoattainairbagshapemodular.Inthispaper,thewayofPABairbagshapedesignisexplored.Tomeetthefrontpassengersafetyperformance,amodularPABairbagshapeisdesignedinconsiderationofmanufacturingfeasibilityandcostcontrol.SimulationandexperimentalresultsshowthatthemodularPABairbagshapecanmeetmostofourmodelsofsafetyperformancegoals,thuscanbeusedasamodularproducttopromote.
