Complexfiniteelementanalysisofmulti-layersteelcylinderheadgasketsealingwasperformedonafourcylinderturbo-chargedgasolineengine.Firstly,inordertogetcylinderheadandblocktemperaturefield,thefluid-structurecouplingheattransferanalysiswascarriedout.Comparedwiththeexperimentalresults,themaxerroroftemperaturefieldislessthan6%.Secondly,thegas-ketsealingperformanceunderroomassembly,hotfiring,coldfiring,anddeepcoldfiringconditionswereanalyzed,andthedistribu-tionoffullbeadandhalfbeadlineload,fullbeadheadliftwereevaluated.Thefullbeadlineloadwasbelowthelimit,soanewfullbeadstructureofgasketwasdesignedbasedonthesimulationresults,inwhichborebeadlineloadofimprovedgasketincreased40%.Andthedurabilitytestresultsconfirmedthataseriesofstructuralimprovementmeasuresareveryeffective.Theanalysisandtestresultsshowthatthesimulationcanproperlypredictthegasketsealingperformance,whichismainlydependedonthegasketstructuredesignsuchasbead,stopperstructureandlayout.
