Inrecentyears,thefrequently-happeningearthquakesinourcountryresultinpainfulinjuriesandpropertylossaswellasseriousroadtrafficinfrastructuredamageinquakezone,whichbringsenormousobstaclestothereliefandreconstructionwork.Toexplorethetrafficimpactrulesofearthquake,thispapertakes“5.12WenchuanEarthquake”astheresearchobject,analyzingandcomparingthetrafficvolume,delay,traveltimeofthemajorroadsinWenchuanbeforeandafterthedisasterbasedonfieldinvestigationandsimulationonVissimsoftware,andsothatdrawsthefollowingconclusions:(1)TheserviceleveldecreasestogradeDfromgradeBandmaximumsaturationdegreereachedto1.07inG317-WeizhouBridgeintersection;(2)TheserviceleveldecreasestogradeDfromgradeAandmaximumsaturationdegreereachedto0.77inWeizhouBridgeRoad.Thustheauthorsdeducethreecountermeasuresaccordingly:(1)Establishingathree-dimensionaltrafficsupportsystem;(2)Adoptingsmall-scaleandwide-rangingresettlementsafterdisaster;(3)Adjustingsignaltimingandstrengtheningtrafficmanagementandimprovingthetrafficefficiency.
