ThepaperpresentsaflexibleKevlar?reinforcedliningsolutionforthetrenchlessrehabilitationofcriticalwatermaininfrastructure.Thepaperwillshowthecompositionoftheliningmaterialaswellasthefunctionalityofthespecificallydevelopedterminationfittings.Theliningmaterialischaracterizedbyhighmaterialstrength,accommodatingtheoperatingpressuresindependentlyfromthehostpipematerial.Atthesametime,theliningmaterialhasalowwallthicknessof6-8mmforPN16,reducingthecross-sectionallossessignificantlycomparisiontoslipliningwithHDPESDR11PN16.DuetotheflexibilityoftheKevlar?reinforcedliningmaterial,bendsofupto90degreecanbetraversedandthus,longinstallationlengthsofseveralhundredmetersinonestepafeasible.Thepaperwilladdressneededcleaningandequipmentrequirementsaswellastheinstallationprocess.ThepaperwillpresentacasestudyontherehabilitationofaDN225Class9PVCtrunkwatermainwithalengthof460mfortheLismoreCityCouncilusingtheKevlar?reinforcedliningsystem.TheCouncilwasconfrontedwithmultipleburstonthisline.Thefollowingtechnicalgoalsweretoberealizedwiththeproposedrehabilitationsolution:upgradetheexistingClass9PVCpipetoPN16andminimizethecross-sectionallosses.Inaddition,ascourvalvehadtobereinstated.Thepaperwillconcludewiththeadvantagesandlimitationsofthisliningsystem.
