Inordertoreducevehiclestoppingtimethroughthetrafficlightintersection,thispaperstudiesspeedguidancemethodbasedonCooperativeVehicleInfrastructureSystem.Becauseitisdifficulttoobtainreal-timequeuelengthdataofintersectioninChina'sthird-tiercitiessometimes,thepaperdesignsvehiculartrafficsignalremindersystemandestablishesaspeedguidancemodelforindi-vidualvehicles.Forvalidatingthemodel,thepaperchoosestheintersectionofHengshanRoadandNorthFengmingLakeRoadasstudyobjectinWuhu,AnhuiProvince.Thetrafficlightdataoftheintersectioniscollectedbythevehiculartrafficsignalremindersystem.ThesimulationexperimentsusingtheacquireddataaredonebysoftwareVISSIM.Thesimulationresultsdemonstratethatthemethodsunderhighandlowtrafficflowcaneffectivelydecreasethestoppingtime,reducingaverageratiointhethroughandright-turnlaneis16.3%and8.3%,respectively,andtheeffectunderhightrafficflowisbetterthanthatunderlowtrafficflow.
