企业ESG表现会影响审计延迟吗

文档摘要：企业ESG表现能够反映其可持续发展能力,受到社会各界广泛关注.以2010—2020年沪深A股上市公司为研究样本,检验企业ESG表现对审计延迟的影响.研究发现:企业良好的ESG表现能够有效降低审计延迟.机制检验表明:企业良好的ESG表现能够通过提高内部控制质量和分析师关注,进而降低审计延迟.异质性检验表明:企业ESG表现与审计延迟的负向关系在四大会计师事务所审计的企业、国有企业以及处于高经济政策环境不确定性和高法治水平环境下的企业中更为明显.本研究为厘清企业ESG表现对审计师的影响机制提供了理论基础,同时从审计师的角度为ESG信息披露监管提供了经验证据.

Abstract：Acompany'sESGperformancecanreflectitssustainabledevelopmentability,whichhasattractedwidespreadattentionfromallwalksoflife.TakingShanghaiandShenzhenA-sharelistedcompaniesfrom2010to2020asaresearchsample,thispaperexaminestheimpactofcorporateESGperformanceonauditdelays.TheresultsshowthatgoodESGperformancecaneffectivelyreduceauditdelays.Themechanismtestshowsthatacompany'sgoodESGperformancecanreduceauditdelaysbyimprovingthequalityofinternalcontrolandanalystattention.TheheterogeneitytestshowsthatthenegativerelationshipbetweencorporateESGperformanceandauditdelayismoreobviousinenterprisesauditedbytheBig4accountingfirms,state-ownedenterprises,andenterprisesintheenvironmentofhigheconomicpolicyenvironmentuncertaintyandhighlevelofruleoflaw.ThisstudyprovidesatheoreticalbasisforclarifyingtheimpactmechanismofcorporateESGperformanceonauditors,andprovidesempiricalevidenceforESGinformationdisclosuresupervisionfromtheperspectiveofauditors.
