Indiaisthesecondlargesttwowheeledvehicleproduceranduser.Thispaperisdevotedtostudyofnegativeconsequencesarisingduetoimproperheadlamplevelingintwowheelersandtheirelimination.Manymotorcycleshaveisaprovisiontomanuallyadjusttheheadlampassembly.Theseheadlampsgenerallynotcoveredbybodyofthevehiclesandcanbeeasilymoveup-downbylooseningthemountinglocksbyuser.ECER53specifiesthelevelingrequirementsofLcategoryvehicles;howeveritfailstodictatetheboundarypositionsforsuchheadlampmovement.Thiscausesimproperadjustmentbytheuserandhenceresultsintounwantedglare.Thispaperdiscussesaboutaparticularphotometriccasestudyconductedonamotorcyclewithheadlamplevelinganddeterminesboundaryconditionsforthesame.Italsogivesthecomparisonoftwowheelersandothercategoryofvehicleslightdistributioninteraction.Itproposesaneedofimprovisationinregulationandit'sspecificationsformanualheadlamplevelinginmotorcycles.Thisshallensurethattheupwardanddownwardmovementofheadlampisrestrictedbeyondthespecifiedlimitswhereglarecanoccur.
