Abstract：Blastingandshapedchargesarethemainformsofunderwaterweapons,andtheirnear-fieldunderwaterexplosions(UNDEX)canseverelydamagestructures.Therefore,itisofgreatimportancetostudyunderwaterexplosiveloadcharacteristicsofdifferentformsofcharges.Thefullphysicalprocessofatypicalunderwaterexplosionofasphere/columnblastingchargeandashapedchargewassimulatedusingtheEulerianmethod.Theloadingcharacteristicsoftheunderwaterblastshockwaveandbubble,aswellastheprojectile,werestudied.Theresultsshowthattheshockwaveloadsofspherical,cylindrical,andpolygonalchargespropagateoutwardinspherical,ellipsoidal-sphericalandellipsoidal-sphericalwavefronts,respectively.Whentheshockwavereaches16timesthedistance-to-diameterratio,itssurfaceisapproximatelyspherical.Inaddition,intheshapedchargeunderwaterexplosion,theshapedchargelinercoverabsorbs30°-90°oftheshockwaveenergyandsomeofthebubbleenergytoformahigh-speedshapedpenetrator.Spherical,ellipsoidal,andellipsoidalbubblesaregeneratedbyunderwaterexplosionsofspherical,cylindrical,andshapedcharges,respectively.Theobtainedresultsprovideareferenceforevaluatingthepowerofunderwaterweapons.
