Abstract:Performanceimprovementofthehigh-loadtransonicturbineisthekeymethodofimprovingthethrust-to-weightratioorthepowerdensityofgasturbineengines.Inordertoinvestigatetheflowbehaviorsinsidethehighloadturbinecascades,alinearturbinecascadetestsectionisdesigned,whichenablestheSchlierenphotographyandstaticpressuremeasurementalongthecascadeprofilecanbeconducted.VariablepitchisrealizedinthetestsectiontoachievedifferentZweifelcoefficients.Duetothecapabilitylimitationoftheairsupplier,thetestsectionisdesignedtohaveonly5bladechannelswithshortenedbladeheighttoachievehighMachnumberflowconditions.Numericalinvestigationswerecarriedouttoinvestigatethewalleffectanditsinfluencesontheflowfieldsinsidethetestsection.Theresultindicatesthattheshapeoftheconnectingpartofthetestsectionhasasignificantinfluenceontheflowsimilarityamongdifferentbladepassages.Withtheproperdesign,agoodrepetitionflowisachievedbetweenneighboredbladepassages.
